It is a necessity for anyone sitting in a tree stand portable. I sat in the stands without a safety harness and we had to be very careful. I felt much more secure and confident in paying attention to setting up and running the stand. asked by lining up shots from any angle on my little platform is much easier. I am 5 ' 9 "and 170 lbs and the size S/M is perfect for me. I have not been in heavy winter clothing, but I feel it still would fit well with thicker layers.

Quiet. comfortable (super light). comes with a "suspension Reflief belt"-this is basically a cord that hooks the harness through a loop that is located under the back and then put your foot into the loop and ' stand up ' provide relief (this is a pretty cool so keep it on you and don't drop it!). I bought a belt of years ago, the oldest, strictly type of weaving and nylon buckle that gets tangled up and 10 minutes of sorting out before you can actually figure out how to put it on. many times I would just say ' forget it ' and not wear it because the hassle. wiring harness HSS is by far the easiest and most comfortable I've ever tried or owned. I used my hook gear treestand for the first time tonight. I threaded the hook on the strap at home and set out to the tree quickly. my pack is heavy and held it easily and it was great to have a separate hook for my quiver, camera and binoculars. one of these things I bought several years ago and had small plastic hooks and a plastic buckle that I didn't trust.
